Abdij Maria Toevlucht vindt zijn oorsprong in 1900 en was oorspronkelijk bedoeld als toevluchtsoord voor Franse monniken die op de vlucht waren na de Franse Revolutie. In 1938 werd de priorij van Zundert verheven tot abdij. Door de jaren heen onderging de abdij vele veranderingen, niet alleen architectonisch.<\/p>\n
